About

The Wide-field methane series satellites are designed to provide early warning of carbon sources, carbon sinks, and carbon emission concentrations by covering key areas with a wide-swath methane camera. This system aims to establish a comprehensive methane monitoring and carbon neutrality assessment system. The methane camera boasts a swath width exceeding 200km, which significantly improves monitoring efficiency and accuracy. The satellite also includes a multispectral camera for additional data collection. The imaging mode for both instruments is pushbroom imaging. The methane camera operates in the spectral range of 1610nm to 1685nm with a spectral resolution of 0.1nm, a width of 200km at 500km altitude, and a spatial resolution of 100m. The multispectral camera covers a spectral range of 450nm to 850nm, also with a width of 200km at 500km altitude, and a higher spatial resolution of 25m. Both cameras are capable of single-track continuous imaging for at least 300 seconds. The total star weight (mass) of the satellite is 150kg.
