Applied Research in Emerging Technologies

The Naval Postgraduate School engages in extensive applied research across various critical and emerging technologies to ensure combat effectiveness and address defense challenges. This includes advanced AI development and integration into naval operations, space-related research and education through the Space Systems Academic Group, quantum science and technology research focusing on sensors for navigation, and the development and testing of autonomous systems in diverse environments. Additionally, NPS conducts research in hypersonics, cyberspace operations, XG networks, and advanced manufacturing, often in collaboration with industry and other defense entities, utilizing unique research facilities.
