Field Experimentation Program for Autonomous Systems

NPS provides a unique field experimentation program designed for testing developed autonomous systems or their sensors. These tests can be conducted in a restricted airspace located 100 miles south of NPS or within Monterey Bay. This program leverages state-of-the-art research facilities that support various aspects of autonomous systems, including propulsion, guidance, navigation and control, combat systems design, electronic warfare, and MEMS sensors. These facilities and the experimentation program are available for thesis research and joint projects with other service or agency laboratories and industry partners through cooperative research and development agreements (CRADAs).
