Optical Property Measurements

Surface Optics provides a range of optical property measurement services. These include Hemispherical Directional Reflectance (HDR) measurements, typically made out to 25 μm, and Bidirectional Reflectance (BRDF) and Bidirectional Transmittance (BTDF) measurements spanning from 0.3 μm to beyond 14 μm with full angular freedom. The company also performs emissivity measurements, solar absorptance (α) and thermal emittance (ε) measurements, and Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) / Total Solar Reflectance (TSR) testing. Many of these services adhere to ASTM standards, leveraging the company’s decades of experience as an optical property testing lab.
