Storage and Transportation to the Launch Site
Packaging, storage and shipment of the spacecraft from Europe to the launch site, including customs and handling.
About this service
Getting the spacecraft to the launch site is a distinct job from building it, and SAB Launch Services sells it as a separate service. The scope covers packaging in flight-qualified containers, controlled storage before shipment, transport from the operator’s premises or from the SAB integration facility in Brno, Czech Republic, and shipment to the European Space Port in Kourou, French Guiana.
Handling, customs formalities and the associated documentation are part of the service, as is coordination with the launch campaign schedule so the spacecraft arrives inside its integration window.
The service is available to passengers flying on the company’s Vega and Vega-C missions.
