Heat Pipes (HP)
Traditional heat pipe technology providing low thermal resistance passive cooling — scalable to application size, exploits latent heat of vaporization.
Description
Calyos's Heat Pipes are easily scalable to the size of the application, exploiting the high heat transfer coefficient of the latent heat of vaporization. Heat conducts from the source into the vaporization zone, causing the internal fluid to vaporize; vapor travels to a condensation zone, cools and condenses back to liquid, then flows back via an internal wick structure in a continuous passive cycle. Applications include racks/data centers, embedded electronics, personal computers, batteries, power electronics, and servers.
