Description
The FAST 1U CubeSat Platform is Cervos Space's entry-level spacecraft bus adhering to the 1U CubeSat standard (10 × 10 × 10 cm). Designed under the FAST (Flexible and Affordable Satellite Technology) philosophy, the 1U bus provides a complete, flight-ready structure housing all essential satellite subsystems: on-board computer, electrical power system, attitude determination and control, and communications interfaces. The design emphasises ease of integration so research teams and commercial customers can focus on their payload rather than bus development.
The FAST 1U targets educational institutions, research organisations, and commercial entities needing a cost-effective path to orbit for technology demonstration, Earth observation, or scientific data collection. The modular architecture allows software, communication parameters, and certain hardware elements to be configured per mission without requiring a new bus development cycle.
Cervos provides full R&D, assembly, and testing services to support integration of customer payloads into the 1U bus, including environmental qualification and documentation for launch vehicle providers. As part of the FAST ecosystem, the 1U uses compatible interfaces with the 2U, 3U, and 6U variants, giving operators a clear upgrade path.
The platform is in active production at Cervos's Ankara facilities backed by their vertically integrated engineering and test infrastructure.
