About
The FAST 2U CubeSat Platform extends the FAST product line to the 2U form factor (10 × 10 × 20 cm), providing roughly double the payload volume of the 1U variant while maintaining the same modular architecture. The additional volume accommodates larger payloads, dual-payload configurations, or expanded propulsion and communication subsystems.
Like all FAST platforms, the 2U bus is assembled and tested at Cervos Space’s Ankara facilities and ships with all essential subsystems integrated and verified. The on-board computer, electrical power system, attitude control, and communications hardware are based on Cervos’s in-house subsystem development, ensuring tight design control and straightforward customer support.
The FAST 2U suits technology demonstration missions requiring more than the 1U form factor allows, as well as dual-payload science missions where two instruments share a single spacecraft. Cervos provides full R&D, assembly, environmental testing, and technical support through the satellite’s operational life.
As part of the FAST ecosystem, the 2U platform uses compatible interfaces with the 1U, 3U, and 6U variants, reducing non-recurring engineering costs for customers operating multiple missions across different size classes.
