About Kayser Space

Kayser Space (formerly Kayser Italia) is an Italian aerospace engineering company founded in 1986 by Valfredo Zolesi in Livorno, Tuscany. Over nearly four decades, the company has designed, developed, manufactured, and operated more than 150 payloads across over 100 space missions, establishing itself as a trusted partner for microgravity research and orbital payload development.

The company specialises in the full lifecycle of space payloads — from initial feasibility assessment and system design through manufacturing, testing, launch preparation, and in-orbit operations. Its capabilities span electrical and electronic engineering, life science equipment, instrument control units, power distribution units, lighting and vision systems, and custom engineering for space platforms ranging from low Earth orbit to deep space missions.

Kayser Space operates a User Support Operation Center for managing experiments during orbital execution, as well as laboratories, clean rooms, and inspection facilities at its Livorno headquarters. The company has supported prominent programmes including the International Space Station Columbus module and ESA scientific missions.

Kayser Space is part of the FAE Technology Group and continues to expand its portfolio of proprietary technologies and end-to-end microgravity services for research institutions, space agencies, and commercial customers worldwide.
