Geoscan

Geoscan is a Russian group of technological companies that designs and manufactures unmanned aerial systems (UAS), small spacecraft (CubeSats), avionics, wireless communication systems, and sensors for UAS and CubeSats. They also develop and produce unmanned systems and indoor navigation systems for STEM education and robotics competitions. The company provides services including unmanned aerial photography (multispectral and thermal imaging), airborne laser scanning, geological exploration, and drone shows. Their products and services are supplied to over 50 countries worldwide. Geoscan's offerings are used for creating 3D models for urban planning, mining, and construction surveys; producing orthophotomaps for cadastral work; monitoring infrastructure like pipelines and power lines; creating vegetation index maps for precision agriculture; forest inventory; detecting thermal anomalies; magnetic and gamma-ray spectrometric geological exploration; video surveillance during emergencies; and robotics education. The company has a history of setting records, including the world's most extensive UAV project for the Moscow region, the largest unmanned exploration project in Siberia, and the largest drone shows. They have launched small spacecraft, including the first Russian 16U CubeSat and educational CubeSats, and developed Russia's first commercial satellite capable of deploying other spacecraft. In 2024, they produced over 19,000 UAVs. They also implemented drone control technology via the Russian Gonets satellite system and deployed 50 ground stations for receiving data from spacecraft.
