MA61C cPCI
Plug-and-play Command and Data Handling system integrating multiple subsystems with a cPCI Serial Space processing unit; candidate backplane for ESA/EC Copernicus missions.
Description
MA61C cPCI is SPiN's intelligent, plug-and-play Command and Data Handling system engineered to seamlessly integrate multiple components with a cPCI Serial Space processing unit. SPiN is one of the first companies to create a commercial product for cPCI Serial Space, and the design has been chosen by ESA and the European Commission to be considered as the next-generation backplane for upcoming Copernicus missions.
As with other MA61C variants, the unit holds an internal Electronic Data Sheet driver database enabling plug-and-play functionality - device recognition, self-configuration and driver installation without user intervention - and it scans, detects, routes and converts data between connected interfaces. MA61C cPCI supports SpaceWire, I2C, CAN, RS422, RS232, MIL-STD-1553B and GPIO.
The unit is built around the GR712RC dual-core LEON3-FT SPARC V8 processor with 64Mbit SRAM and 64Mbit FLASH onboard memory, and ships with an API and Windows GUI for commanding and monitoring via USB.
