The Alén Space 3U Platform is a highly reliable small satellite platform with flight heritage (TRL 9), suitable for a wide range of space missions. It offers a payload mass capacity of 570 – 1400 g and a payload volume of 1.4 – 2.2 U. The platform features a peak power consumption of 180 W and a battery capacity of 92 Wh. It supports various power lines including 3V3, 5V, 12V, 28V, VBAT, and user-defined options. The Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) comes in standard and upgraded models, providing functionalities like detumbling, 3-axis stabilization, nadir pointing, velocity pointing, sun pointing, and ground pointing, with measurement accuracy up to 0.1 deg and pointing accuracy up to 0.2 deg for the upgraded version. The On-Board Computer (OBC) includes interfaces such as RS422, UART, CAN, I2C, PPS, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and SPI, running on Alén Space OBSW with up to 64 GB of on-board storage and AES256 security. Communication capabilities include TTC bands (VHF, UHF, S-Band) with downlink data rates of 0.5 – 512 kbps and uplink data rates of 0.5 – 256 kbps. Optional S-Band and X-Band data bands are available, supporting downlink data rates of 2 – 50 Mbps and uplink data rates of 2 Mbps. Propulsion is optional, and the platform has a design lifetime of 3 – 5 years.
