About
Akash Systems’ Space Power Amplifiers apply Diamond Cooling® technology to GaN transistors used in satellite RF payloads. By replacing standard SiC substrates with synthetic diamond — which has 4× higher thermal conductivity — the amplifiers dissipate heat far more efficiently in the vacuum of space where convective cooling is unavailable. This enables 2–3× higher peak power output and approximately 50% less energy consumption compared to conventional space amplifiers.
