About
The ATLAS-X-MINI is Astrolight’s advanced optical communication terminal, designed for robust space-to-ground and inter-satellite links. This terminal leverages the proven technology of existing ATLAS terminals already in orbit. It features hemispherical pointing capabilities, allowing for flexible communication directions. The ATLAS-X-MINI supports high-speed data transmission, enabling up to 2.5 Gbps links from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to ground stations, as well as facilitating efficient communication between satellites. Its specifications include transmit (downlink) wavelengths of 1553.3 nm and 1536.6 nm, with an optical power of ≥ 3500 mW. It adheres to the SDA OCT 3.1 and newer communication standards. For tracking and receive (uplink), it uses wavelengths of 1536.6 nm and 1553.3 nm. The downlink data rate can reach up to 2.5 Gbps, while the uplink data rate is up to 156 Mbps. The transceiver aperture diameter is 40 mm, with a fine pointing resolution of 1 µrad and an acquisition field of view (full angle) of 2°.
