Beijing-1 Remote Sensing Small Satellite
The "Beijing-1" remote sensing small satellite system is the result of joint support from the "Tenth Five-Year Plan" National Science and Technology Key Project, the National 863 Program, and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Plan.
About
The “Beijing-1” remote sensing small satellite system is the first integrated remote sensing small satellite operation system in China, with an enterprise as the main operator, integrating satellite measurement and control, data reception, processing, and application services. In 2005, the Beijing-1 small satellite was successfully launched and put into operation. It was the only autonomous remote sensing small satellite system in China at that time, built according to market mechanisms with the goals of technological innovation and institutional innovation by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The development and launch of the “Beijing-1” remote sensing small satellite filled the gap in commercial operation of remote sensing satellites in China.
