The Collapsible Tubular Mast (CTM) is a deployable composite boom in Opterus’s structures and mechanisms product line, used to extend payloads such as instruments, antennas, magnetometers or solar arrays away from the spacecraft body. Built with Opterus’s high-strain composite and origami-inspired folding principles, the CTM collapses into a compact stowed volume for launch and self-deploys on orbit. A trussed variant, the Trussed Collapsible Tubular Mast (T-CTM), provides additional stiffness and load capacity for longer or higher-loaded deployments.
