Modular Self Stiffening Array (MOSSA)

The Modular Self Stiffening Array (MOSSA) is Opterus’ SmallSat solar array offering for missions requiring high precision pointing or rapid slewing. It features a modular panel-based architecture that packages extremely thin but expands in thickness during deployment to maintain high vibration frequencies for agile missions. The MOSSA can be configured with 1 to 9 modular panels, providing flexibility for various mission requirements. Its package size and shape are described as similar to a large pizza box. Both direct attachment and gimbaled versions of the MOSSA are offered, catering to different integration needs on spacecraft.
