About

The Cool Gas Thruster is a cold-gas thruster designed for precise multi-impulse attitude orientation of spacecraft, using helium or nitrogen as working medium. It produces 0.733 N (He) or 0.819 N (N2) nominal thrust with specific impulses of 1657.9 m/s (He) and 716.1 m/s (N2). With a mass of only 0.105 kg, 80,000-start cycle life, and 10,000 s total firing time, it was flight-qualified (Letter ‘O’) and flew on KOSMOS and RESURS-DK spacecraft.
