About
HyperScout 2 is cosine’s enhanced-generation hyperspectral imager for space, developed based on customer feedback from the original HyperScout. It uses Intel Ireland’s Myriad 2 AI chip onboard to boost data-processing performance for hyperspectral imagery, and adds a thermal infrared channel developed with ESA’s Earth Observation Programme. It provides hyperspectral imaging in the visible/near-infrared to analyze Earth composition plus three thermal infrared bands for temperature retrieval. cosine sells HyperScout as a product to commercial and research customers, who can develop their own software applications on top of it.
