The Gecko imager is a compact and easily integrated imaging solution designed for CubeSat missions. It delivers colour images and high-frame-rate video to CubeSats as small as 2U, providing versatile performance. The imager offers two main configurations: RGB and WIDE SWATH. Both configurations feature standard RGB spectral bands, 8-bit or 10-bit data format, 128 Gigabytes of integrated mass data storage, and support RAW or J2K lossless or lossy compression. Data interfaces include LVDS and SpaceWire, while TMTC communication is handled via SPI, I²C, CAN, RS422, and RS485. The imager operates on a 5V DC power supply and has an operating temperature range of +10°C to +30°C, with a survival temperature range of -20°C to +55°C. Both configurations have a TRL of 9, indicating flight-proven technology.
