About
The Count Down Test System, implemented for the Second Launch Pad, utilizes VXI hardware specifically designed by Data Patterns to meet application requirements. This redundant system is capable of handling up to 14000 I/O points. The Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) monitors various aspects of the launch vehicle during the count down phase, assisting in the automation of the launch process. This product has demonstrated high reliability in operation since 2001. The ATE incorporates precision analog input signal conditioners and digitizers, along with discrete and relay logic. A specialized module used for fail-safe automation is an analog comparator, which is programmable to perform safety monitoring independently of the software for fail-safe operation purposes. This world-class system, implemented by Data Patterns against strong competition, has proven its reliability over numerous launches of the PSLV and GSLV from the Launch Pad.
