CSF-2UP
These new gear units have an ultra-flat configuration with high-moment stiffness, ideal for applications requiring smaller, space-saving components.
About
Harmonic Drive’s CSF-2UP gear units are part of their Ultra Compact Products line, specifically designed for miniature speed reducer applications. These devices are engineered for scenarios demanding smaller, space-saving components, where they decrease a motor’s rotational speed while simultaneously increasing output torque and generating zero backlash. The CSF-2UP units feature an ultra-flat configuration, providing high-moment stiffness. They are particularly well-suited for confined areas where maximum precision is essential. Key features of Harmonic Drive’s mini gearheads, which include the CSF-2UP, encompass a compact four-point contact ball bearing mounted to the main shaft, outline dimensions up to 13 mm, and compatibility with precision-matched motors and encoders. These compact gearboxes are available in five sizes, four ratios, and with flange or shaft outputs. Typical applications for these small gear reducer components include robotics for precise manipulation in smaller robotic joints, semiconductors for high-precision positioning systems and wafer-handling, medical devices like micro-surgical tools and surgical robots, and aerospace for landing gear and other aircraft components.
