About
Designed and built in Australia, Gilmour Space’s ElaraSat satellite platform provides a ready-to-integrate solution for hosting payloads and simplifying mission deployment. Globally, customers are developing powerful payloads such as cameras, sensors, and communications systems, and the ElaraSat platform addresses the complexity and expense of building a satellite bus/platform and securing launch. ElaraSat is a 100-kg class multi-mission satellite platform specifically designed for LEO missions. It is flight-proven in orbit, with the first mission, ElaraSat MMS-1, launched in June 2025 and currently operating. ElaraSat MMS-2 is slated for launch later this year to further build on-orbit heritage and expand capability for customer payloads. The platform offers a flexible mission platform supporting multiple mission types and payloads, integrating core systems needed for space operation including power generation and storage, thermal control, attitude determination and control, communications and data handling, and a payload integration interface. It is compatible with multiple launch vehicles, including Gilmour Space’s Eris orbital rocket, allowing customers to focus on their payload and the data it delivers. The platform supports missions such as Earth observation, climate and environmental monitoring, communications technology demonstrations, defence and national security missions, and science and research payloads.
