About
The FB component set consists of four essential elements: a Wave Generator, which is an elliptical bearing assembly; a Flexspline, a non-rigid ring equipped with external teeth; a Circular Spline, a rigid internal gear; and a Dynamic Spline, also a rigid internal gear. The operation involves the rotation of the Wave Generator, which imparts a rotating elliptical shape to the Flexspline. This action causes the progressive engagement of the Flexspline’s external teeth with the internal teeth of both the Circular Spline and the Dynamic Spline. The fixed Circular Spline is designed with two more teeth than the Flexspline, which results in a relative rotation of the Flexspline at a reduction ratio determined by the difference in the number of teeth. Conversely, the Dynamic Spline, having the same number of teeth as the Flexspline, rotates with it and at the same speed.
