About

The FreeFall Aerospace Inflatable Antenna System is a patented, ultra-lightweight, and compact deployable high-gain antenna. It features an ultra-lightweight membrane reflector that packages into a very small volume and inflates on orbit using flight-proven, low-risk control systems. The spherical reflector provides a maximum field of view and efficient beam steering, dramatically reducing mass, power, operational complexity, and cost. This system is ideally suited for providing assured communications from various orbits, including LEO to GEO, and for applications in defense, global internet, and scientific exploration. It enables robust situational awareness, rapid action, high-performance satcom, and Direct to Device connectivity. For science and exploration, it supports low-cost lunar and deep space missions by maximizing data return with minimum mass, power, and stowed volume, including designs for lunar orbit relay and expanded connectivity throughout the solar system. The spherical geometry allows the reflector to remain stationary during satellite tracking, further reducing power, weight, operational complexity, and life-cycle cost.
