Flexislot™ Conformal Antenna
Thin, aerodynamic slotted conformal antenna for flat, cylindrical, and conical aerospace bodies, with arrayed configurations for directive or spherical coverage.
About
The Flexislot™ is Haigh-Farr’s aerodynamic slotted conformal antenna, designed for aerospace vehicles where a thin, low-drag profile is critical. Covering frequencies from 300 MHz to 13 GHz, the Flexislot™ produces broad-beam E-plane pattern coverage from a single element and can be arrayed in multiple configurations to achieve either directive gain patterns or full spherical coverage.
The antenna’s thin form factor makes it compatible with flat surfaces, cylindrical bodies, and conical fairings. An optional ablative heat shield version is available for applications involving aerodynamic heating during ascent or re-entry. Flush or external mounting configurations are both supported, and the product is rated for the high-G, high-vibration environments typical of launch and flight operations.
Flexislot™ antennas serve FTS, telemetry, transponder, data link, and GPS/GNSS functions across launch vehicles, tactical missiles, drones, spacecraft, and even offshore oil rigs. Their arrayed architecture allows antenna designers to balance pattern shape, gain, and coverage zone to mission-specific requirements.
