About

Haigh-Farr offers a family of low-cost Blade antennas designed for a wide range of applications, covering frequencies from 300 MHz to 8 GHz. These antennas have a heritage of over 30 years in airborne applications, with many models available for off-the-shelf delivery. The product line also includes a series of broadband blade antennas to cover various frequency ranges. These antennas provide omnidirectional coverage in the azimuth plane with a filled-in null in the elevation plane. When mounted on a typical ground plane, they offer approximately +3dBi gain, though exact gain is dependent on the specific ground plane. Beyond airborne uses, Blade antennas are also suitable for stationary applications and ground-based vehicles such as trucks, tanks, race cars, and motorcycles. Key features include omnidirectional coverage, high-power options, an overhead null that is filled in, broadband coverage, a small and compact footprint, an aerodynamic shape, and a common footprint across all models. They are built to withstand extreme shock and vibration. Applications span data links, telemetry, transponders, atmospheric rockets, tactical missiles, helicopters, drones, ships, and ground-based vehicles.
