Patch Antenna
Ultra-thin space-qualified stripline patch antennas from 150 MHz to 26 GHz with omnidirectional, hemispherical, directional, and beam coverage patterns.
About
Haigh-Farr’s Patch Antenna family comprises thin, rugged, space-qualified antennas based on stripline construction technology that protects internal circuitry from harsh environments. The patch line spans 150 MHz to 26 GHz and offers four coverage pattern variants — omnidirectional, hemispherical, directional, and fixed beam array — to address diverse mission pointing and coverage requirements.
With designs as thin as 0.03″, patch antennas integrate easily onto spacecraft panels, missile airframes, and aircraft skins without incurring significant volume or mass penalties. Bandwidth options from 1% to 10% are available. The antennas are rated for an operating temperature range of −100°C to +200°C, covering the extremes of both deep-space thermal environments and aerodynamic heating conditions.
Applications span tactical missiles, satellites, spacecraft, manned aircraft, and helicopters, supporting GPS/GNSS, telemetry, and data link functions. Haigh-Farr’s in-house four-chamber anechoic test facility provides full pattern characterization for all patch configurations.
