About

The HC1 system generates stable and homogeneous magnetic fields in up to three axes. It comprises a 500mm diameter HC1 Helmholtz Coil, PA1 and CU1. It interfaces with a PXI control system or compatible National Instruments acquisition card for complete system control. Two-axis versions are available with any combination of coils: X and Y, X and Z, or Y and Z. HC1 Helmholtz Coils can also be purchased separately from the rest of the system. Key features include orthogonality correction using PA1, active compensation using CU2, and available control software. Applications include calibration of three-axis magnetic field sensors, including for satellites and sub-assemblies, and the creation of a known magnetic environment.
