About
The CU1 serves as an essential interface within a Helmholtz Control System, connecting the PA1 with a National Instruments™ based control system. It routes the signal required to generate the magnetic field through the Helmholtz coils. Additionally, the CU1 provides power to two sensors, filtering their signals along with the current monitor’s output before sending them to the National Instruments™ system. Key features include its role as part of the Helmholtz Control System, providing up to ±10V differential or single-ended supply output for magnetometers, and a programmable 0 to ±20V supply output (limited to 100mA) compatible with single or dual supply devices. It also offers ±15V limited to 50mA per sensor channel for auxiliary power output, with all power outputs protected by self-resetting semiconductor fuses. This unit is primarily used for providing control to a Helmholtz coil assembly, making it suitable for applications such as directional tool calibration, reference magnetometry, compass and magnetometer calibration, and biomagnetics.
