HDS6605 6U OpenVPX Multiprocessing Board

The HDS6605 is the industry’s first OpenVPX multiprocessor board powered by Intel 2nd generation Xeon Scalable processors with built-in AI acceleration, delivering data center processing capability to the tactical edge. This board provides extreme processing performance with a 22-core Intel Xeon Scalable processor featuring Deep Learning Boost, extending Intel’s Advanced Vector Extensions-512 (AVX-512) to accelerate inference and big data processing. New embedded Vector Neural Network Instructions (VNNI) accelerators speed up dense computations for convolutional and deep neural networks, offering up to a 14x improvement in inference performance. The HDS6605 is a cornerstone for composable high-performance embedded edge computing (HPEEC) solutions, combining with other EnsembleSeries modules and interconnected with wideband, low-latency PCIe switch fabrics to leverage data center power in harsh, SWaP-constrained environments. It is based on open architecture standards like SOSA for interoperability, scalability, and reuse, driving affordability and lower program risk by evolving with Intel’s technology roadmap and commercial data center hardware. The board utilizes proven liquid and air cooling, rugged packaging, and high-speed in-system switch fabric interconnect technologies, available with 100 Gbps in-chassis fabrics and MOTS+ technologies for reliable processing in extreme conditions.
