The hiSky SmartLITE Ku-Band 8×8 Terminal is a flat-panel electronically steered antenna (ESA) designed for mobile satellite broadband connectivity across land, maritime, and airborne platforms. The terminal requires no mechanical moving parts, eliminating wear-and-tear issues common to traditional dish antennas and enabling reliable beam tracking during high-dynamics movement.
As part of the SmartLITE ecosystem, the 8×8 Ku-band terminal connects to the HISKY Hub and is managed by the SmartLITE NMS, forming a complete system that can be operated by non-specialist users. The terminal supports a wide range of Ku-band satellite operators, giving customers flexibility to select the most appropriate capacity for their coverage area.
Key applications include military land vehicles, fleet management, oil and gas offshore platforms, railway cars, and connected car programmes. The terminal has been certified and deployed by elite defence forces and validated by global industrial and satellite industry partners.
