About
The Engine Firing Test Facility at Hokkaido Spaceport is located within Launch Complex 0 (LC0) in Bisei, Taiki Town, Hokkaido, and provides a dedicated infrastructure for rocket propulsion development, qualification testing, and engine certification campaigns.
The facility has been actively used by Interstellar Technologies Inc. for development and static fire testing of their ZERO orbital vehicle engines, and by Innovative Space Carrier Inc. for their propulsion programs. Its remote location in Hokkaido, with open sea downrange, provides large safety exclusion zones suitable for high-thrust engine tests.
The test facility has access to the full range of propellants and pressurants supplied by HOSPO on-site, including LNG (CH4), liquid oxygen (LOX), gaseous helium (GHe), liquid nitrogen (LN2), gaseous nitrogen (GN2), gaseous oxygen (GOX), and electrical power. Launch support and safety services are available, including ground condition monitoring, meteorological data, and safety coordination.
