About
The HBT-5 is IHI Aerospace’s 490N-class bipropellant thruster using monomethylhydrazine (MMH) and MON3 propellants, developed for the H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV) resupply spacecraft. The HTV propulsion system uses four HBT-5 main thrusters and fully meets ISS safety requirements. Flight-proven with a demonstrated life of 15,000 seconds.
