About
The IHI Aerospace MT-2B is a 24.5 N hydrazine monopropellant thruster designed for satellite reaction control systems. IHI Aerospace has manufactured and launched over 1,100 hydrazine monopropellant thrusters since beginning development in the 1960s, with thrust levels ranging from 1 N to 50 N. The MT-2B delivers a specific impulse of greater than 211 s with demonstrated life exceeding 7,500 pulses and propellant throughput of more than 15 kg. It is currently in a qualified status and suitable for spacecraft attitude control and orbit maintenance maneuvers.
