About

The Inovor Satellite Bus Platform is a lightweight, modular, and mission-ready spacecraft bus designed to support a broad range of mission classes, from 6U CubeSats through to larger micro-ESPA class satellites. Rather than integrating third-party subsystems, Inovor designs and manufactures its core subsystems in-house — including the Apogee star tracker, a modular Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS), and a flight-proven Electrical Power System (EPS) — giving the company end-to-end control over performance, reliability, and schedule.

The bus is engineered around a low-noise electromagnetic environment, with onboard EMI maintained below 5 dB above Earth’s thermal noise floor, making it well suited to sensitive payloads such as RF and optical sensors. High-precision pointing is achieved through integration of Inovor’s proprietary star trackers and reaction wheels, while an onboard AI system supports space domain awareness applications in GEO and cislunar orbits. The EPS uses Li-ion battery storage with MPPT solar charging and regulated 12V/5V buses with latching current limiters, providing scalable power generation and distribution across mission classes.

An advanced onboard scripting and autonomy system allows the satellite to make operational decisions independently, reducing reliance on constant ground contact — valuable for both commercial and defence customers operating constellations or single high-value assets. The platform has been flight-proven across multiple Australian sovereign missions, including the Buccaneer Main Mission for Australia’s Defence Science and Technology Group, the Kanyini/SASat satellite for the South Australian government, and SpIRIT for the University of Melbourne.

As a turnkey offering, Inovor supports customers from concept through design, manufacture, integration, test, launch, and on-orbit operations, positioning the bus platform as the core building block for Inovor’s growing pipeline of ESPA-class missions such as SWIFT OPTUS-1 and MARSAT.
