About

The Integrated Thruster Unit 13 (ITU) is intended for creating the required thrust forces when forming the spacecraft operating orbit, followed by station keeping within the required limits during spacecraft operation in space conditions. It was released in 2008 and has a guaranteed service life of 15 years. The estimated production and delivery time is 14 months, and the product can be adapted to customer requirements. The ITU includes a high-precision thruster orientation mechanism (TOM) and two propulsion systems, each based on a stationary plasma thruster with a nominal discharge power of 1350 W. Each propulsion system consists of a thruster and a Xenon Flow Controller Unit, with pneumatic connections realized by stainless steel pipelines. Xenon is used as the propellant. The manufacturing lead time does not account for the time needed to procure materials (4 months) and procured parts and components (6 months).
