The Correction Unit (CU) is designed for critical spacecraft operations, specifically station keeping and orbit raising to Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO). This unit, first released in 1995, boasts a guaranteed service life of 9000 hours and 5000 cycles. It is flight-qualified, with heritage from Cosmos series spacecraft and SS/Loral’s spacecraft. The product is adaptable to customer requirements and consists of two main components: a Stationary Plasma Thruster with a nominal discharge power of 1350 W and a Xenon Flow Controller Unit (XFC Unit). Xenon is used as the propellant. The manufacturing lead time is estimated at 10 months, not including the 4 months for material procurement and 6 months for procured parts and components.
