The KDU Series Direct Drive Motors achieve exceptional positioning accuracy of 10 arc-seconds and repeatability of ±0.5 arc-seconds, with an ultra-high resolution of 0.16 arc-seconds. A key feature of the KDU is its large Hollow Shaft design, which facilitates the passage of cables, shafts, or lasers directly through the axis of rotation. This design enhances integration flexibility for various applications. The KDU series is available in models such as KDU-13SB and KDU-13WB, offering maximum torques of 7.0 Nm and 15.0 Nm respectively, and maximum rotational speeds up to 180 rpm. These motors are designed to operate with an AC100V input power supply voltage and are typically combined with the HA-770-2 AC servo driver. They incorporate an incremental encoder with a resolution of 11,840,000 pulses per revolution for precise motor position sensing. The KDU series is suitable for applications requiring high precision and a compact, integrated design.
