KOMPSAT-3A (Arirang-3A) is a South Korean Earth observation satellite developed by KARI and manufactured by KAI. It carries an Advanced Electro-Optical System (AEOS) producing 0.55m panchromatic resolution imagery, and an infrared sensor for nighttime observation. The satellite was launched in 2015 and operates in a 528km sun-synchronous orbit.
