KPLO Deep Space Ground Station

Hancom InSpace developed and operates the ground station system for KPLO (Korean Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter), the first deep-space ground station system built in Korea. The system supports tracking, telemetry, command, and data reception for Korea’s lunar orbiter mission, extending InSpace’s ground segment expertise from low Earth orbit satellite operations into deep space communications. As Korea’s inaugural lunar mission ground infrastructure, the station represents a significant capability expansion for the company beyond its traditional Earth observation and meteorological satellite ground stations, enabling reception and processing of data from spacecraft well beyond geostationary orbit.
