The KSF Space CubeSat Kit Version 2.0 is an IFGICT-certified educational platform aimed at making space education and research affordable and accessible for universities. It is designed to overcome the high cost and risk typically associated with academic space programs, allowing institutions to fund space missions through readily available teaching funds rather than large research grants. This approach reduces faculty risk and ensures program sustainability by facilitating continuous curriculum integration. The kit is recognized by industry publications like Satnews Magazine and Satellite Evolution as the world’s cheapest CubeSat solution. It is quality-tested and certified by IFGICT, the world’s largest ICT federation, ensuring reliability and adherence to technical specifications for global educational use. The V2.0 kit provides an integrated platform for hands-on experience in every satellite subsystem, including comprehensive components to construct and test a fully functional 1U satellite model. It features four primary PCB boards and essential flight hardware such as an On-Board Computer (OBC), Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS), power management, and communication systems (e.g., 433 MHz RF).
