About
Bartington Instruments’ Magnetic Shields are cylindrical Mumetal magnetic field test chambers. These chambers are engineered to divert lines of magnetic flux around their layers, effectively reducing the magnetic field within them. They feature additional shielding at both ends, making them less reliant on orientation for optimal performance. Available in two diameters, the TLMS-C100 and TLMS-C200 models typically attenuate the Earth’s magnetic field of approximately 50,000nT down to a level of a few nT. This capability is crucial for measuring remanent magnetism in small components or identifying errors in magnetic sensors. Key features include capped ends with removable three-layer lids for enhanced shielding in all directions, internal diameters of 100mm or 200mm, and a 4mm test earth socket. These shields are ideal for applications such as measuring zero-field offset errors in magnetic sensors and conducting remanent magnetisation measurements.
