About
The Magson Standard Fluxgate Magnetometer is a tri-axial, industrial-grade instrument offered in single or dual sensor configuration for terrestrial geophysical and field exploration applications. It features a data and command interface for connection to a customer’s data handling system and can be equipped with integrated flash memory for stand-alone operation. Optional add-ons include tilt meters, angular encoders, and an external GPS receiver for accurate position determination and time synchronization. An additional Linux-based processor system extends capability with a touchscreen display, graphical user interface, and TCP/IP network interface for remote control and data handling from anywhere in the world, enabling gapless recording since data can be downloaded during ongoing measurements. A temperature control unit for the fluxgate sensor and electronics can also be included to improve thermal stability. Units are tailored to customer technical requirements and are also available for rent.
