About
MMA Space’s Deployable Tape Truss Boom is a composite structural building block used across the company’s antenna, solar array, and instrument product lines. Licensed from NASA’s patented SHEARLESS boom and Bistable Collapsable Tubular Mast (Bi-CTM) technologies, the boom achieves expansion ratios up to 100:1, allowing large deployed structures to stow into volumes as small as a 1U form factor. Custom lengths are achievable by adding or removing structural bays, enabling mission-specific tailoring for large apertures within constrained launch envelopes.
