The Motherboard Mockup Module is prototyping hardware designed as a stand-in for the flight hardware Motherboard Module (MBM) within the CubeSat Kit™ nanosatellite architecture.
About
The Motherboard Mockup Module is an integral part of the CubeSat Kit™ nanosatellite architecture, serving as prototyping hardware distinguished by its red PCB. This module functions as a direct stand-in for the Motherboard Module (MBM), which is the actual flight hardware. Its primary purpose is for fit checking and other scenarios where it would be prudent to avoid exposing the sensitive MBM flight hardware to unnecessary handling or potential damage. The Motherboard Mockup Module is equipped with key interfaces found on the MBM, including the CubeSat Kit 104-pin Bus Connector, a dc power jack, a USB type B device connector, and an SD Card socket. Additionally, it can optionally include its RBF Switch. It is important to note that despite these connectors, the Motherboard Mockup Module contains no internal electronics.
