About
Condor-M is Muon Space’s flight-proven, modular spacecraft platform and the base configuration of the Condor family within the Halo(TM) integrated technology stack. It is built from Muon’s proprietary, reusable core components – including custom avionics, propulsion, communications, GNC and flight software – giving Muon end-to-end control of the spacecraft supply chain rather than integrating disparate third-party subsystems.
Condor-M is designed for rapid, scalable mission configuration and has already flown multiple operational missions, including the FireSat Protoflight and operational wildfire-detection satellites (built on Condor-M), Hydrosat’s VanZyl-2 thermal-infrared Earth observation mission, and Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Vindler RF-sensing satellites. All Condor platforms are equipped with SpaceX mini laser terminals for near-continuous connectivity by routing data traffic through Starlink, and run on the common MuOS middleware and MuCore instrument-core software stack, enabling high-mix, high-rate manufacturing at Muon’s San Jose production facility.
