About
The SR2000 is implemented as a ready-to-use S-band radio with a radio firmware, suitable for High Speed Link (HSL) solutions for satellite to ground communication. For a full solution, it can be used with the S-band patch antenna ANT2000 for ground link. Key features include an S-band radio firmware based on GomSpace Software Defined Radio, compatibility with GomSpace S-band patch antennae modules, and flexible layer-3 bandwidth up to 6 Mbps (FDD). It is fully configurable in-orbit and compliant with GomSpace CSP. The system consists of NanoDock SDR, NanoCom TR600, NanoMind Z7000, and S-band radio firmware. The radio system supports high-speed QPSK transceiver for point-to-point S-band communications, frequency and time division duplex, symbol rates from 500 kBd to 7 MBd, and S-band operation (1980-2290 MHz). It also features dual-modem support for two simultaneous RF links, adjustable output power, PC104 form factor, and interfaces including CAN, LVDS, I2C, and SSMCX antenna connectors. The operational temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. The included S-band radio software allows communication even under poor link conditions using error correction algorithms (FEC and Reed-Solomon).
