About

The UTP 5069 is a radar test system that uses Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) technology to precisely calibrate 4D, imaging, and other radar sensors that require large far-field distances, all within a small footprint below 3.5 square meters. A parabolic reflector integrated into the extremely low-reflection NOFFZ absorber chamber redirects the radar signal, producing a plane wavefront (quiet zone) independent of the calculated far-field distance, so the system is suited for both validation and end-of-line (EOL) production testing of fully assembled, high-resolution radar sensors. The horizontal test setup gives easy access to the device under test, robot, reflector, target simulator, and control electronics, while high-precision two-axis (azimuth and elevation) motion of the sensor — optionally via goniometer or robot — ensures accurate, repeatable measurements. It integrates radar target simulators from multiple manufacturers operating at 75-82 GHz with up to 5 GHz bandwidth for single or multi-target simulation, and supports quick-change adapters for faster changeover between sensor variants plus optional robots or pick-and-place systems for fast handling.
