About

The NPT30-I2 is ThrustMe’s miniaturized gridded ion thruster designed for small satellite constellations. It operates on solid iodine propellant or pressurized xenon, with iodine being the preferred choice for most missions due to its non-pressurized, passive handling during launch and very high propellant density. In 1U volume, the NPT30-I2 delivers up to 5500 Ns of total impulse — the highest total impulse density in its class. The system features multiple embedded automatic regulation systems for self-regulating performance, built-in fail-safe algorithms, and thermally passive design loading less than 19W to the satellite structure. It is ITAR-free and designed for batch production to serve constellation markets.
